PCRC provides legal support and document preparation for people representing themselves in post-conviction, habeas, and civil-rights matters. The service agreement defines the work for your matter. PCRC is not a law firm and does not provide attorney representation.
Yes. Family members can begin the enrollment process and help coordinate records and communication. PCRC will clarify the client’s participation and any authorization needed for the matter.
You’ll go to the PCRC enrollment page. After you submit your information, the service agreement is sent for electronic signature. Once it is signed, the office contacts you to discuss payment and your case.
Bring the person’s name, the court and case number if available, relevant orders and filings, and any known deadlines. You can explain what records you have and what is still missing during onboarding.
No. Outcomes depend on the facts, applicable law, procedural requirements, and the court. Enrollment does not extend a court deadline or guarantee that a claim can be filed.
